New Tunes: The Orwells

Finally back home and finding some routine after a very drunken two weeks in British Columbia, the greatest place on Earth. I’m very much looking forward to going back immediately digging deep and finding some new tunes to share with the world and I’m going to start with Chicago’s The Orwells, whom I’m seeing on Friday night in support of California dirtbags FIDLAR. The Orwells releases their second EP of the year last month with self proclaimed “ripoffs” of Misfits and Black Lips songs as well as an opening track produced by TV on the Radio’s Dave Sitek, which I’m really feeling. Check it out along with tour dates below. I can’t speak for The Orwells as I have yet to see them live but FIDLAR absolutely slays so get your tickets stat.
