Yes! The long awaited U.S. release of Hot Lunch’s self titled debut by way of TeePee Records is finally within a week’s grasp. The album has been out on Who Can You Trust Records in Europe for some time now and I’m not sure why the delay over here but its moot point now. These S.F. old record collection obsessed skaters have found a way to incorporate the best of punk rock and heavy 70’s headbanger shit into a ripper of an album, helping, along with bands like The Shrine and Earthless, reinvent the term ‘skate rock’ and take it places previously not navigated by the genre. Some west coast dates coming, but I’m eagerly anticipating their next east coast jaunt, which I’m sure I’ll be pumping as soon as I get word. For now though, here’s a couple tracks to tide you over until you get down to your local record store and do what you know needs to be done….
