Keeping things mellow to match the mood of the day, Quilt delivers to us Milo, a warm psychedelic folk piece of feel good, making the simple actions in life such as longing for warmer days feel important, necessary even. Don’t know a ton about these guys other than they formed in art college in Boston and have maybe gone through a couple of drummers. They also remind me of another Boston band that disappeared too soon, Mr. Airplane Man. The album is well thought out, not going to far out on any particular limb, making for an easy listen that doesn’t challenge the listener to accomplish anything more than enjoy the simple things in life. And sometimes that’s all we’re looking for. Right?
