More Vancouver nostalgia for today’s Song of the Day. The first two Black Mountain albums were a testament to the darkness that can envelop Vancouver, particularly the Lower East Side, to a point where I refused to listen to the self titled first album unless it was pitch black and pouring rain. Their third though, Wilderness Heart seems to have them in a new light, a happier light with shorter more uplifting tracks and while I’ll admit it took a bit for me to buy in, this album kills it. Just like the rest of them. And now I don’t have weather constraints to deal with. Smile.
